1.8 GDi Error code 92 - Fehlercode 92

Hi all,

As usually there is some problem with the car, a week after cleaning the intake when i leave the car at idle the Engine light goes on.

The error 92 should be "Throttle valve position feedback system"..

I really have no idea what it could be, i suspect it might be something with the TPS, do you suggest to just replace it or is there some other way to try fix it ?

Well first of all, if i get you right, you cleaned the Air Intake right?

If you have done this it might be that you killed your sensor for the consuming of air ( in german "Luftmengenmesser" ). If i remember right there is an electronic plug on the air intake. Under the plug the sensor is placed.
I would suggest to change that one in a garage somewhere!

Btw: It can seriously harm your engine if that part is broken.

Also btw. Where did you got the code from?

Maybe you should look for the plug at the air flow-sensor, as AlexanderThimm suggested. It could just be a slack joint.

I had a similar error when I forgot to plug in the plug for the air flow-sensor after attaching a new air filter.
